What’s your favorite part of your new job? 

Honestly, the hours! As a former broadcast journalist, I struggled with crazy, unpredictable, hours working all shifts, lots of holidays and weekends, and had the worst sleep schedule ever. Now, I have some consistency in my life. Also, having the ability to creatively collaborate on new projects. That’s always exciting!

What do you love most about working with Serendipity Media clients so far? 
I just love sharing people’s stories and meeting new people. Everyone’s stories are so unique and in each individual way, so inspiring. When someone trusts you enough to share their life story, that’s a big deal and I’m so blessed to have a job that allows me to get to know people from all walks of life.

What are your top three tips for businesses and companies looking to up their digital strategy game?

• Do Research. Follow what companies like yours are doing, both their failures and success!
• Invest in your craft. Take initiative and reach out to experts, sit in on workshops, sign up for conferences—learn something new every single day!
• Get gutsy. You don’t know what will work unless you try it!

In a game of truth or dare, which are you more likely to pick and why?
DARE! Why? Well, that’s just in my nature to do the daring and unexpected … plus, sometimes the truth hurts so why not pick the more fun option?!

What’s your go-to drink?
I used to like the fruity drinks, but as I get older I appreciate the kind of sips that are edgy and strong! My go-to after a hard, long day is Green Spot Irish Whiskey. Other days, I love Grey Skies Distillery’s Coffee Liqueur, Long Road Distillery’s Original Aquavit and Iron Fish Distillery’s Maple Bourbon Whiskey.

It’s the weekend! What are you typically doing on a Friday night?
Depends what’s happening in West Michigan! I could be at a concert at 20 Monroe Live, catching a movie at Celebration Cinemas, enjoying happy hour early in the evening at the many fine restaurants, bars or breweries in the area, then snuggling up on the couch with The Boyfriend. All of this while annoyingly texting my three grown sons asking them where they are and what they are doing. Wherever I am, though, you can bet FOOD is always involved!
