Kelli Belanger is a Media Sales Manager for REVUE.
How long have you been with Serendipity Media?
I’ve been with Serendipity Media since the acquisition of REVUE a year ago, but I’ve been with REVUE in some capacity since 2010. I was a freelance writer for REVUE for five years before I switched over to the sales side of the publication.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I love working with people from so many different industries every day from brewery, restaurant and boutique owners to concert promoters and marketing firms. No two days are ever the same! Even better is when my clients become my friends.
What do you love most about working with Serendipity Media’s clients?
I love working with clients to create an impactful advertising campaign for their business or event and hearing from them afterward that the campaign was successful!
What are your top three tips for businesses and companies?
- Mix it up! Supplement your print ad with a digital ad and vice versa to ensure that you capture the attention of REVUE’s entire audience.
- Have fun with your ad art! Whether you incorporate humor, a pun or a play on words, some of the best ads I’ve seen didn’t take themselves too seriously. And they always include great imagery, which leads me to my third tip …
- Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! Great photos can really make or break an ad. I recommend hiring a local photographer to help capture great images you can use in your advertising materials.
In a game of truth or dare, which are you more likely to pick and why?
I’m kind of a chicken so I would choose truth. Dare never seems to work out well for me!
What’s your go-to drink?
I love a good Michigan hard cider. Some of my favorites are Virtue Cider’s Rosé and Starcut Ciders’ Pulsar. For a treat, I’ll pick up a Tandem Ciders’ Smackintosh.
It’s the weekend! What are you typically doing on a Friday night?
Unwinding with pizza and cider!
