Hannah Pikaart is a Marketing Coordinator for Serendipity Media.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Creating social posts and monitoring social channels is a part of my job, and one of the things I love about that is I get to see people interacting with the content I or one of my coworkers has created. Every like, comment and share are not only great for engagement, but it also tells us how we’re doing as creators.
What do you love most about working with Serendipity Media clients?
I have always wanted to work for a women’s magazine and now I do, but I also provide marketing services to group tourism businesses, a local country club and a healthcare experience provider. There is a variety in Serendipity’s clients and I really enjoy that.
What are your top three tips for businesses and companies?
- Brand your social media. Colors, fonts, logos, etc. are all important in keeping your branding cohesive. I have come across many social accounts that do not take branding into consideration and it confuses me as a consumer.
- Know your customer. Dive deep into this. Who are they? How old are they? What kind of education do they have? How much do they make a year? Let questions like this guide you as you determine who your customer is.
- Be aware of competitors. Be aware, but do not obsess over every move they make. Observe what they are doing and neglect to do. Perhaps, you’ll find their weakness can be your strength.
In a game of truth or dare, which are you more likely to pick and why?
Depends on how the game is going. If things need to be shaken up and made interesting, I would probably choose dare.
What’s your go-to drink?
I’m a cider fan and I love to try new ciders I come across—and it doesn’t matter if they’re sweet or dry, either.
It’s the weekend! What are you typically doing on a Friday night?
I am probably sitting in bed, with a sheet mask on, watching a true crime documentary on Netflix.
