Folio: announced its 2016 class of Top Women in Media, with local woman-owned business leader Kasie Smith, president of Serendipity Media, LLC, among the honorees in the Entrepreneur category.  Honorees were celebrated on June 9, 2016 at the Awards Luncheon in New York City.

Each year, a select group of women are hand-picked by the Folio: team to represent the best and brightest rising stars, entrepreneurs, director-level doers, corporate visionaries and industry leaders. The 2016 class of honorees includes Entertainment Weekly's Ellie Duque, Forbes Media's Jessica Sibley, Kisho Media's Tasheema Prince, New Hope Natural Media's Carlota Mast, Bloomberg's Laura Zelenko and Idea Couture's Ashley Perez.

Smith founded Serendipity Media in 2002 with the launch of Groups Today magazine.
