What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part about my job is that each day is incredibly different. There is not one day where I’m doing the same thing as the previous. I also love attending events in the community and meeting a lot of our influential and professional women. Representing Serendipity Media and West Michigan Woman magazine at local events is an honor.
What do you love about West Michigan Woman magazine and the community?
The thing that I love most about West Michigan Woman is the advocacy and support from our community of influential and professional women. Every subscriber I speak with lets me know that they love the publication and that they read it cover to cover. There is also nothing more empowering than women empowering other women—West Michigan Woman readers, advertisers and contributors really have done a spectacular job at doing just that!
What are your top three tips for businesses and companies who want to get their name out?
- You cannot put a price on branding yourself and your business.
- Sponsoring local events is very important. Community support goes a long way.
- Two words: Comprehensive Marketing.
What were you voted in high school?
I won “Cutest Couple,” which is so strange, considering how single and independent I am.
What’s your go-to drink?
This is tough. It really depends on my mood. I’m a big red wine drinker, but I love a Tito’s and soda with lemon and lime. Or, if I’m feeling really adventurous, I’ll do a Jack Fire neat.
It’s the weekend! What are you typically doing on a Friday night?
More than likely, you’ll catch me having an early happy hour with friends and then at home, snuggled on my couch with candles and a movie—relaxing from a long week, but prepping for some Saturday fun!
